The Roman Empire began 3,000 years ago. They had a very large army led by very good Generals such as Julius Caesar who led them to victory. They spread out their perimeter and they conquered all the way around the Mediterranean Sea. Unfortunately the downfall of Rome was due to the greediness of the emperors and their cruelty.
