The Romans were very famous for their architecture as was Persia, in fact the Roman learned something's from the Persians!
The Romans used Persian ideas and made their own ideas and methods of architecture, the most famous one would be the discovery of concrete and cement, they discovered arches, and they discovered baked bricks of clay!
When the Etruscans arrived in Italy around 700 B.C., they brought with them West Asian architecture, and they introduced, and taught them to the Romans. We don't have to much Etruscan architecture left, but a lot of their underground tombs have survived, and some of their temples.
In the Republican period the Romans built temples, but also they made lots of improvements to their city: aqueducts and and roads and sewers. The Forum began to tae shape.
The first emperor Augustus made more changes: he built a lot of brick and marble buildings, including a big Altar of Peace and a tomb for his family, and a big stone theater for plays.
Augustus's great-great-grandson Nero also did a lot of building in Rome, including the Golden House.
Then in 69AD Vespasian tore down some of the Golden House to build the great Colosseum.
Vespasian's son Titus built a great triumphal arch and his other son Domitian built a great palace for himself on the Palatine hill.
And that is all there is to say about Rome and Persia and I hope you enjoyed the show!
