Clothing
As you know people today don't walk around naked like cave-men
from tens of thousands of years ago or maybe even a hundred thousand years. As
you can guess neither did people from ancient Rome and Ancient Persia. Here is
some information on what they wore.
Roman:
- The Ancient Romans wore a garment named a Tunica.
- The Tunics had short sleeves and hung to your knees.
- Both men and women wore Tunica's.
- Men wore a different garment over the Tunica which is
called a toga.
- Dressing was very important for wealthy Romans.
- Most Romans wore leather sandals with laced strips of
leather.
- Women always followed the wife or family
of the Emperor would set of the fashion.
Persian:
- The wore colorful clothing.
- Men held hiking sticks.
- Both men and women wore necklaces.
- Soldiers had metal armor and held spears (infantry).
- Their swords stuck out so it was easy to grab.
- Women had long hair.
- They wore strap shoes or sandals.
