Form of Government
If you ever thought about it you would know that if there was
no form of government there would be chaos. Whether it is democracy, monarchy,
anarchy, communism, and etc. it keeps order, but some better than others. here
are some things about ancient Persian, and Roman forms of government:
Roman:
- Early
Rome was ruled by kings.
- During 509 B.C the Republic was found.
- Two consuls were elected and served for one year.
- The Senate consisted of 200 members who passed law.
- In order to be voted for senator you must be part of the
Partrician class.
- Assassination was a perfectly acceptable tool of politics.
- NO Consul could make a decision without the other one
agreeing.
Persian:
- The ancient Persians had many kings.
- The Persian empire was organized into Satrapies by Darius
the first.
- Each Satrapy had its own Satrap (Governor).
- Darius the first was afraid of Satraps growing too powerful
so he sent a general and secretary of state with the Satraps.
- The officials would report to the king.
- Inspectors visited them (Satraps) regularly, accompanied by
a troop of soldiers.
- Darius built the Royal Road 2500 kilometers long for his
messengers.
